The Gospel Team Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (Kungiyan Bishara EYN) was formerly known as New Life for All Singers (Kungiyan Mawakan Sabon Rai Don Kowa) which was interdenominational and was founded in 1986. In 2004, the Leadership of the Church (EYN) at General Church Council (Majalisa) were led to give close attention to the spiritual and physical growth of the members of the group. In their meeting, they agreed that the group shall henceforth be known as “Gospel Team Church of the Brethren in Nigeria” (Kungiyan Bishara EYN). After the EYN General Church Council Meeting in 2004, the group held its first meeting in December 2004, but with only few District Church Council (DCCs) representatives in attendance. At the meeting, the delegates unanimously agreed and appointed Caretaker Committee to take charge of the group at National Level. The Brethren appointed were:

4. Ishaku K. Dali Secretary
5. Gana Msheliza Treasurer
6. Emmanuel Bitrus Financial Secretary

The meetings of the group at National Level continued but with approximately 12 District Church Councils in attendance up-till 2006. The National Council did their best to call on the other District Church Councils to move along with the change that was made by the Leadership of the Church (National Leaders) but they failed to comply. But to God be the glory the group in 2020 had over fifty-five (55) District Church Councils (DCCs) that turn out for National Council Meetings and are actively participating as part of the group. The group is blessed with over fifteen thousand (15,000) members spread across Local Church Branches (LCBs) and Local Church Councils (LCCs).
